Snack: rice cake with peanut butter & banana.
I didn’t use as much peanut butter as I usually do, but i did at the same time BECAUSEEE I put about a teaspoon/tbsp (didn’t measure) of peanut butter and a tbsp of almond milk in a little bowl, put it in the microwave for 10 seconds and mixed it. Thennnn you obviously have a lot of peanut butter but without a million calories and fat. it’s also creamy and delish.
This is perfect for me because I eat so much peanut butter throughout the day so this reduces the amount of fats and calories in taking in just from PB. YUSSSS

Tosca Reno’s Eat-Clean Diet Turkey Burgers
INGREDIENTS
1 cup high protein cereal flakes (try to get as unsweetened as possible!)
1/2 cup skim milk (I used unsweetened almond milk)
3 tsp instant low-sodium chicken bouillon
3 Tbsp minced onion
2 egg whites
1 lb lean ground turkey
DIRECTIONS
Combine the first five ingredients and allow the cereal to soak for a good five minutes.
Add in ground turkey and mix well with clean, bare hands.
Shape into patties and grill.
Once they are done (no longer pink in the middle), serve hot on a lightly toasted Ezekiel bun or whole grain bun. Avoid high-fat condiments like mayo. Instead add mustard, low sodium, low sugar ketchup, lettuce, and tomato!
NUTRITION FACTS per patty (makes 6-7 patties)
209 calories (51 from fat)
29g protein
9 carbs

The Amazing Power of Muscle!

The other day, I mentioned that I had found terrible before & afters of me that I was not proud of from 2009. Some people asked me to post, but I am not proud of them, and so I explained why I would not post them.

It got me thinking though… I am very proud of where I am now. I am also very proud at how I got here. I found a picture from 2009 when I was 120. This is not my heaviest, but this is the weight I jumped around in college (as high as 130 and as low as 100). Did you also know that I currently weight 119? Back then, my body fat percentage was probably quite high. While I was a healthy weight (and obviously still am), the above pictures demonstrate the amazing/drastic/ridiculous difference that muscle can make.

Before at 120, I would wear a size 7/9 in pants.

Now at 119, I wear a 0/2.

Crazy talk!

But really, it isn’t. Muscle is an amazing thing. Eating healthy, and eating in general, is an amazing thing. You can make your metabolism and body work for you, and not against you. Harness any fears and insecurities you have into shear power and you will be amazed at what you can create.
